The HR Business Partner – Operations serves as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to assigned business units, branches, and operational teams. The role works closely with business leaders and people managers to address employee relations, workforce requirements, performance concerns, policy implementation, and day-to-day HR matters.
This position is particularly suited for an HR professional with experience supporting multi-site, branch-based, dealership, automotive, retail, distribution, or other high-volume operational environments, where employee relations and workforce management are critical to business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR business partner for assigned operational units, branches, or departments, providing timely guidance on people-related matters.
  • Partner with business leaders and managers in addressing employee relations concerns, including workplace conflicts, grievances, disciplinary cases, attendance issues, policy violations, and employee counseling.
  • Manage and document employee relations cases in accordance with company policies and applicable Philippine labor regulations.
  • Provide HR guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary procedures, corrective actions, and employee conduct.
  • Work closely with operational leaders to identify manpower requirements, staffing concerns, employee movement, retention issues, and organizational needs.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, programs, and company initiatives across assigned operational areas.
  • Monitor compliance with HR policies and ensure consistent application of company rules and procedures across branches or business units.
  • Conduct regular coordination with department heads and managers to understand workforce challenges and recommend appropriate HR interventions.
  • Support performance management activities, including performance reviews, coaching, performance improvement initiatives, and documentation of performance-related concerns.
  • Assist in workforce planning and manpower deployment in coordination with business and recruitment teams.
  • Monitor employee attendance, turnover, manpower movements, and other workforce indicators; identify trends and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and HR programs designed to improve employee morale, retention, and workplace culture.
  • Provide HR support during employee onboarding, transfers, promotions, movements, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of HR documentation, employee records, reports, and case files.
  • Coordinate with relevant HR functions such as Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and HR Administration to resolve employee and operational requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and analysis covering headcount, turnover, absenteeism, employee relations cases, and other workforce metrics.
  • Support HR initiatives, projects, and organizational changes that contribute to business and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and HR cases.
Qualifications:
  • Experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, HR Supervisor, Employee Relations Specialist, or similar HR role supporting business operations.
  • Strong exposure to Employee Relations, labor relations, disciplinary processes, performance management, and HR administration.
  • Preferably from a multi-site or branch-based environment, particularly automotive, dealership, retail, distribution, FMCG, logistics, or other operations-driven industries.
  • Experience handling a sizeable employee population and working directly with operational managers and branch leaders is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, company policies, and standard HR practices.
  • Strong ability to independently handle employee concerns while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise managers on people-related matters.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation and case management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
