Role Overview
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, business systems, and technology operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient service delivery. This role leads IT initiatives, manages technology projects, oversees vendor relationships, and ensures that IT solutions effectively support business operations. The position also works closely with internal stakeholders to maintain technology standards, optimize system performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network management, and IT operations, preferably within commercial, retail, hospitality, or property management environments.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or people management experience.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, including servers, network connectivity, firewalls, CCTV systems, and business-critical applications.
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, including POS server connectivity and integration, is highly preferred.
- Experience leading IT projects, system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology deployments.
- Strong understanding of network administration, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, and IT service management.
- Experience working with enterprise applications; SAP experience is an advantage.
- Good understanding of data privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant IT administration tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, availability, security, and performance of the organization's IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and business systems.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including network equipment, firewalls, CCTV systems, servers, and related technologies.
- Ensure reliable connectivity between Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and central servers while maintaining system stability, security, and business continuity.
- Plan, implement, and support business applications, system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and other technology initiatives.
- Monitor system performance, backups, disaster recovery processes, and cybersecurity measures to minimize downtime and safeguard organizational data.
- Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timely delivery, quality execution, and adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget.
- Collaborate with business units to understand operational requirements and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and support business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and technology partners, including vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and service coordination.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, procedures, documentation, and operational standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, information security standards, and internal governance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting support, and escalation management for critical IT issues affecting business operations.
- Monitor IT assets, software licensing, and technology inventory to ensure proper lifecycle management and operational readiness.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency, system reliability, and overall IT capabilities.
- Prepare regular reports on IT operations, project status, system performance, risks, and continuous improvement initiatives for management.
