Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Learning and Development Specialist to drive employee capability-building initiatives across the organization. This role will play a key part in strengthening workforce performance by developing impactful learning programs, supporting leadership development, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in corporate training, instructional design, facilitation, and talent development. This individual will collaborate closely with department leaders and HR partners to identify development priorities, implement effective learning interventions, and ensure employees are equipped with the competencies needed to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Training Needs Assessment and Capability Development
- Partner with department heads and business leaders to identify learning requirements and performance gaps.
- Conduct training needs analysis through interviews, surveys, performance data, and organizational assessments.
- Translate business objectives into practical and measurable learning solutions.
- Support the development of competency frameworks and role-based learning pathways.
- Design and develop engaging training programs, workshop materials, presentation decks, facilitator guides, manuals, and e-learning content.
- Create learning interventions focused on leadership, communication, technical skills, customer service, compliance, and behavioral competencies.
- Customize training materials to suit different audiences and learning styles.
- Ensure all learning content aligns with organizational goals, values, and performance standards.
Training Facilitation and Program Execution
- Conduct classroom, virtual, and hybrid training sessions for employees across various levels.
- Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions, team development activities, and leadership programs.
- Coordinate logistics for internal and external learning activities, including venue setup, participant scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Provide coaching and support to employees and managers in relation to development plans and learning initiatives.
Learning Operations and Administration
- Manage training calendars, participant enrollment, attendance records, and training documentation.
- Maintain and update learning management systems (LMS), training databases, and employee development records.
- Prepare periodic training reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR and management review.
- Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements and certification programs.
Learning Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback surveys, observations, and performance metrics.
- Analyze post-training results and recommend improvements to increase learning impact and retention.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging learning technologies, and best practices in employee development.
- Recommend innovative learning approaches, including digital learning tools and blended learning strategies.
Leadership and Talent Development Support
- Assist in implementing leadership development initiatives, succession planning activities, and high-potential employee programs.
- Support organizational development and employee engagement initiatives that strengthen workplace culture.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders in promoting career growth and internal mobility opportunities.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee performance, productivity, and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Learning and Development, Corporate Training, Organizational Development, or Talent Management.
- Proven experience conducting training needs analysis and designing learning programs in a corporate setting.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience developing training materials, e-learning modules, and competency-based programs.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across different levels of the organization.
- Experience in telecommunications, technology, BPO, shared services, or large corporate environments is an advantage.
