Risk Officer (Bank) Hybrid

The Risk Officer will be responsible for independently assessing, reviewing, and monitoring risk models and related risk management processes. The role will work with business and risk teams to ensure that risk models are appropriately developed, validated, monitored, and aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

• →Independently review and assess risk models, methodologies, assumptions, and outputs.
• →Perform model risk assessments and identify potential model limitations and risks.
• →Review model development, validation, monitoring, and documentation.
• →Challenge model assumptions, methodologies, and results independently.
• →Monitor model performance and identify potential deterioration or model deficiencies.
• →Prepare risk assessment reports and recommendations for management.
• →Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and applicable banking regulations.
• →Coordinate with risk, credit, finance, audit, and business teams on model-related concerns.
• →Maintain proper documentation of model reviews, findings, and remediation plans.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience in independent risk model review, model validation, or model risk management is required.
• Strong understanding of risk models, model governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience in reviewing model assumptions, methodologies, and performance.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and model risk management standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
