Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

Audiovisual Technology Lab in Huawei Munich Research Center is developing innovative technologies in the field of acquisition, encoding and decoding, processing and presentation for the media field, including audio, video, image and graphics. You will contribute to these activities being inserted into an international and experienced team of researchers.

Join us as a

Intern - learned video compression (m/f/d)

• Research on innovative algorithms in the field of learning-based video compression;

• Research on training of learnable algorithms of video coding;

• Developing, implementing variable rate functionality and conducting rate matching.

• Implement the innovative algorithms on a reference software;

• Generate papers, technical reports.

• You completing your master study in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, mathematics or physics

• You have a deep interest in the topics related to media compression and artificial intelligence

• You have experience of research on variable rate functionality and rate matching.

• You enjoy working in a team and you like to collaborate with researchers to develop creative solutions

• You are fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Understanding for basic principle of CNN structure and training

• Excellent software skills (C++, Python, Pytorch)
