Responsible for following established directives and training from the Chief Plant Operators in both water and wastewater treatment plants by:
- Plant operation, plant monitoring, sampling, record keeping, service, and repair
- Maintaining sanitation of water through pipes to buildings and facilities
- Plant monitoring, record keeping, service, and repairs
- Pulling sludge from plant to drying fields
- Daily walk through of plant evaporation ponds, spray fields, and sludge drying fields
Manage distribution system and collection system by:
- Drinking water line/leak repairs, flushing, hydrant testing, valve exercising/replacement
- Wastewater collection
- Perform new/repair projects on plant, facilities, lines, lift stations etc.
- Evidenced commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel with others.
- Must agree with Hume Lake’s Statement of Belief and be willing to abide by Hume Lake’s Code of Conduct.
- Must be able to live in Hume Lake housing or provide private accommodations conducive to guests and conference needs.
- High School Graduate or higher.
- Strong work ethic and mechanical skills needed.
- Must possess a valid California State Certification in one or more of the following areas: Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment, Water Distribution.
(Minimum Grade 1 level required; higher grades preferred. Candidates without current certification may be considered if eligible to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.)
Requirements
~1 min read- The staff member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to live in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to live at high altitude.
