The Mobile Service Engineer (MSE) will carry out maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on customer equipment, working closely with customers and the after-sales team to resolve service issues.
This role is based at our office in Grays, with travel across the UK as required.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Diagnose faults, service and repair equipment, and carry out planned preventative maintenance and field modifications.
- →Order spare parts and manage stock held in the service vehicle.
- →Complete customer service logs and internal service records accurately and promptly.
- →Keep customers and service management informed of progress and follow up requirements.
- →Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring calibration is up to date where required.
- →Follow the company’s health and safety procedures.
- →Escalate technical faults and service delivery issues when additional support is needed.
- →Identify relevant sales opportunities during customer visits and refer them to the appropriate team.
- →Coordinate with the after-sales team to deliver customer service.
- →Lift and carry a toolbox weighing up to 25 kg.
Requirements
~1 min read- A UK valid driving licence.
- Experience as a service engineer working with electrical and hydraulic systems, and petrol and diesel powered equipment.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Experience working with internal teams and customers to resolve service issues.
- The ability to explain technical faults and repairs clearly to customers.
- Proficiency and PC Literate
- The ability to work independently and prioritise service jobs as requirements change.
