Hussey Copper a Pantheon Electric Company is seeking an Entry-Level Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Leetsdale, PA. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate, internal candidate, or early-career professional looking to build hands-on experience in purchasing, supplier management, and manufacturing operations.

The Buyer will support the day-to-day purchasing of MRO supplies, materials, and services that help keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently. This role works closely with Purchasing, Logistics, the MRO Storeroom, Accounting, and suppliers while developing foundational skills in sourcing, negotiation, vendor management, and category management.

This is a developmental role with the opportunity to grow into broader Buyer and sourcing responsibilities as experience and skills develop.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for MRO materials, supplies, and services.

• Verify pricing, quantities, purchasing terms, and delivery dates for accuracy.

• Obtain and compare supplier quotes for standard purchases.

• Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding confirmations, delays, and delivery updates.

• Partner with the MRO Storeroom Manager to support inventory replenishment and the timely availability of critical parts.

• Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing, and order information within ERP and procurement systems.

• Assist with resolving invoice, receiving, pricing, and purchase order discrepancies.

• Prepare routine purchasing and inventory reports and track basic purchasing metrics.

• Communicate with suppliers and assist with day-to-day vendor inquiries.

• Support Purchasing and Logistics projects and administrative needs as required.

• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and environmental and safety requirements.

• Participate in training and development opportunities designed to build sourcing, negotiation, and category-management skills.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 0-2 years of purchasing, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or related experience.

• Recent graduates and internal candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to learn and develop within the purchasing and supply chain function.

• Commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.

• Internship or prior work experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing.

• Familiarity with MRO or industrial materials.

• Basic experience with ERP or procurement systems.

• Interest in growing into a Buyer, Senior Buyer, sourcing, or category-management role.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

This position is based onsite in an industrial manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and active production or warehouse areas. Required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear, must be worn as necessary.
