2027 Summer Investment Analyst

The summer investment analyst will be assigned an industry group to research, have access to the full resources of the firm, and make investment recommendations to the broader team at the end of the summer.  Hotchkis & Wiley considers the summer internship program as a vital source of full-time hiring.

 
Specific job responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking fundamental industry analysis including competitive threats and opportunities, growth potential, and industry evolution
• Creating detailed company research, including financial projections and valuation
• Collaborating with our sector teams to refine the investment thesis and vetting investment ideas through the peer review process

Candidate Profile:

• A high level of intelligence, analytical ability, and integrity
• A willingness to learn, think creatively, and exercise diligence and thoroughness in security analysis
• A passion for value investing
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
• A clear interest in living and working in Los Angeles after graduation
• Prior work experience in the areas of finance, accounting, or equity valuation is preferred

The internship will be paid an hourly rate of $82 per hour.
