At Entura, we believe diversity fuels innovation and inclusion drive success. We welcome professionals from all backgrounds to join our team as an Electrical Engineer– Secondary Systems and bring fresh perspectives to our growing Secondary Electrical Engineering team.

The role provides engineering design and client facing skills associated with the design of installation of EHV and HV protection and control systems in substations, power stations and other electrical installations for a range of clients including electrical utility asset owners, renewable developers and others.

You are a skilled electrical engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to create meaningful change. You thrive in a collaborative environment where you can contribute your expertise and mentor others.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in design of Secondary Systems for HV and EHV installations and plant, particularly applied to substations.
  • Experience in brownfield and greenfield design for protection, control, metering and SCADA systems.
  • Experience working on electrical utility projects.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of protection relay configuration software and fault analysis software (e.g. PowerFactory, Aspen).
  • Experience in hybrid off-grid generation assets.
  • Knowledge and experience of power system development and operation

The role is based in either our Hobart or Melbourne office however flexible work arrangements are also considered.  Given the diversity of our clients and projects, there may be some local, national and international travel required.
