About the Role
PuroClean of North Seattle helps homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, biohazard, and other property damage.
We’re seeking a Lead Restoration Technician to lead projects in the field, deliver excellent customer service, and develop other technicians. This is a hands-on role working alongside the owners, with responsibility for job execution, documentation, equipment, and field leadership.
As an early team member, you’ll help shape our field operations and have opportunities to grow with the company.
What You’ll Do
- Lead water mitigation and restoration jobs from initial response through completion.
- Assess affected areas and help determine the mitigation approach.
- Perform extraction, controlled demolition, structural drying, cleaning, and other restoration services.
- Take moisture readings, monitor drying progress, and determine appropriate drying equipment quantities and placement.
- Set up, monitor, move, and remove equipment.
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, moisture readings, and equipment records.
- Explain the restoration process clearly and compassionately to customers.
- Identify customer needs and appropriately recommend relevant PuroClean services.
- Direct, train, and work alongside technicians, reinforcing safety, documentation, and customer-service standards.
- Keep vehicles, equipment, and jobsites clean, organized, and ready for work.
- Communicate progress, issues, scope changes, and customer concerns to ownership.
- Participate in ongoing training and industry certification.
Property restoration is a 24/7 emergency-service business. Participation in an on-call rotation and some evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on property restoration experience, including water mitigation.
- Experience independently running or leading mitigation jobs strongly preferred.
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification strongly preferred. ASD, AMRT, FSRT, or OCT certifications are a plus.
- Working knowledge of structural drying, moisture detection, equipment placement, demolition, and jobsite safety.
- Ability to direct and mentor technicians while actively performing fieldwork.
- Strong documentation habits and comfort using mobile apps.
- Dependability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and professional customer communication.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform essential physical duties, including lifting 50 lbs. and sustained physical activity, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfort working in damaged properties, crawl spaces, and other restoration environments.
- Willingness to follow established processes, receive feedback, and earn additional certifications.
Compensation & Growth
- $26–$30/hour, depending on restoration experience and certifications.
- Full-time, hourly position.
- Paid vacation accrues at a rate of 40 hours per year, beginning after six months of employment.
- Paid sick and safe time in accordance with applicable Washington State and Seattle requirements.
- Paid on-the-job training and company-paid approved industry training and certifications.
- Opportunities for increased pay as skills, certifications, independence, and leadership responsibilities grow.
- Potential to take on greater field leadership and operations responsibilities.
If you take pride in quality work, communicate well with customers, and enjoy helping other technicians develop, we’d love to hear from you.
