Reports to: Director, Greystone College Programs, Toronto 

Course: Three- and four-week courses running in Dec. 2026 and Jan. 2027 

Description:

Greystone College Toronto is seeking qualified and dynamic Communication in Healthcare Instructors to teach international medical students enrolled in short-term programs focused on Canadian healthcare concepts and effective communication practices within healthcare environments.  

 
Job Duties: 
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:  

• Assessing students' learning goals and healthcare communication needs in a supportive manner.  

• Planning and facilitating engaging lessons in accordance with Greystone College curriculum guidelines and learning outcomes.  

• Delivering course content and managing student learning activities through the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).  

• Creating an inclusive, student-centered learning environment that encourages participation, critical thinking, collaboration, and professional growth.  

• Engaging students through small-group discussions, collaborative activities, and analysis of healthcare-related scenarios.  

• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback aligned with course objectives. 

• Other duties as assigned  

 Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:  

A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and  

professional attributes:  

• A degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field from a recognized college or university.
   

• Current or previous professional experience in the healthcare sector, such as medicine, nursing, allied health, healthcare administration, clinical research, public health, healthcare analytics, or a related discipline.  

• TESL certification recognized by Languages Canada, or an equivalent credential (e.g., CELTA), is considered an asset.  

• Demonstrated ability to create engaging, learner-centered educational experiences that encourage active participation, collaboration, critical thinking, and professional reflection.  

• Proficiency with current educational and workplace technologies, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel) and Learning Management Systems such as Moodle.
