Steward Lead

Job Description:This is a working lead position that actively supports daily dishroom operations while providing guidance and leadership to team members.
This position is responsible to lead the Nutrition Steward team when other leadership is not on-site while fulfilling the role of the Nutrition Steward. Resolves immediate issues regarding sanitizing procedures, workflow and rearranging staffing as needed. Escalates to manager as appropriate. This position is responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks to maintain the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards.
Pay Rate: Based on Experience
Shift Details: Full-time (40 hrs/wk)
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (AM shifts: 6:30am to 3:00pm)
Wednesday & Thursday (PM shifts: 2:30pm to 9:30pm
Friday & Saturday (Days Off).
Located at Intermountain Medical Center Nutrition Services
Additional Details:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and utilize computer systems to perform supervisory responsibilities.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a high-volume dishroom within a team-oriented environment.
- At least six months of experience in a lead or team leadership role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
