Impulse Strategic Solutions an OT Network Analyst II to support the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of operational technology (OT) network environments across industrial and critical infrastructure settings. This role is ideal for a network professional with 1–5 years of experience and some exposure to OT or industrial environments such as energy, oil & gas, utilities, manufacturing, or similar sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a solid networking foundation, a willingness to learn OT security and industrial networking concepts, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. The OT Network Analyst II will assist with supporting network infrastructure that connects industrial control systems, field devices, SCADA environments, and related operational platforms. This position will play an important role in maintaining secure, stable, and reliable connectivity across OT environments while supporting projects, change activities, commissioning efforts, and onsite operational needs. Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of OT network environments Assist with configuring and supporting network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN connectivity Maintain and troubleshoot core networking components such as IP addressing, VLANs, routing, segmentation, and firewall rules Support secure connectivity between IT and OT environments while following approved segmentation and access control practices Assist with network deployments, upgrades, commissioning activities, and onsite infrastructure support Collaborate with operations, engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to support industrial network reliability and performance Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and issue remediation for OT network-related events Help document network diagrams, configurations, standards, inventories, and support procedures Support vulnerability mitigation, patch coordination, and compliance initiatives within OT environments Contribute to implementation efforts aligned with OT security and architecture best practices Required Qualifications 1–5 years of experience in networking or infrastructure support, ideally with some exposure to OT or industrial environments such as energy, oil & gas, utilities, manufacturing, or related sectors Strong foundation in networking concepts, including: IP addressing VLANs Routing Firewalls VPNs Basic network segmentation CCNA required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for onsite support, deployment, and commissioning activities Preferred Qualifications CCNP preferred Exposure to OT, ICS, or industrial network environments Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, and industrial communications environments Understanding of the Purdue Model and its application in OT network architecture Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as: ISA/IEC 62443 NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) Experience supporting highly available, secure, and regulated operational environments Key Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities Ability to prioritize issues in operationally sensitive environments Comfortable working across cross-functional teams Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits Able to balance security, uptime, and operational requirements in industrial settings Eagerness to learn and grow within OT networking and cybersecurity Work Environment This role may include a mix of office, remote, plant, field, and client-site work depending on project and operational needs. Travel of up to 25% is required to support onsite commissioning, troubleshooting, and deployment efforts.
