🚀 Project Overview You will join a central engineering group driving core brand platforms, shared services, and high-traffic consumer and employer product ecosystems for a massive global marketplace. This project focuses on the "Core Shared Platforms & Services Initiative." As a foundational member of the team, your primary objective will be to scale backend microservices, implement modern AI-assisted development practices, and ensure high availability across shared APIs used by millions of users. You will build the resilient infrastructure that powers data-informed iterations, connects massive talent pools, and handles extreme scale.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• High-Scale System Architecture & Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly reliable, and resilient backend software systems operating at significant global scale.
• Technical Design & Code Quality: Contribute to system architecture decisions and lead design and peer code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Observability & Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize system metrics, structured logging, and application analytics to make data-informed optimizations and improve system reliability.
• AI-Assisted Software Development: Apply modern AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate software delivery without compromising code quality or system correctness.
• Production Operations & Application Health: Maintain ownership and operational support of core services during standard business hours to ensure system uptime and health.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders—including software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and UX designers—to scope and deliver high-impact features.
• Mentorship & Engineering Growth: Support the technical development of peer engineers through knowledge sharing, technical leadership, and collaborative mentorship.

💡 Must-Have Skills

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree (Master's/Ph.D.) with equivalent foundational technical expertise.
• Modern Backend Languages: High proficiency in modern object-oriented backend languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or equivalent server-side languages).
• Distributed & High-Scale Systems: Demonstrated experience building, deploying, and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient backend microservices.
• Engineering Mindset: Demonstrated technical curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward taking on complex architectural challenges.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams.

✨ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Domain Expertise: Highly valuable if you have prior experience working within HR technology, talent acquisition platforms, staffing agency software, or large-scale recruitment/job marketplace ecosystems.
• Cloud & Platform Infrastructure: Experience with modern cloud computing platforms and building shared platform services.
• Advanced AI Tooling: Familiarity using emerging AI-assisted development tools in production environments.

🌐 Time Zone & Collaboration The role is fully remote within LATAM. Collaboration and alignment with U.S. Central Time (CT) or U.S. Pacific Time (PT) business hours are required to ensure seamless integration with the core engineering team.
