MANAGER FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS - HYBRID

• →Facilitates the annual budget process in collaboration with leadership team and WVU Medicine’s corporate FP&A department.
• →Leads and manages complex financial projects in collaboration with appropriate leadership.
• →Leads the establishment of robust financial processes and protocol for operations including analyzing new opportunities, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting financial results.
• →Oversee the capital budgeting process for operations with leaders in accordance with WVU Medicine capital budget procedures and policies.
• →Oversee ongoing actual-to-budget performance improvement and margin enhancement opportunities and communicate to Finance and operational leadership.
• →Direct and evaluate financial processes to maximize efficiency in daily operations.
• →Coordinates the completion of financial analysis related to and in support of new services, provider and staffing needs, and long-term strategic initiatives.
• →Oversee the work and development of the relevant financial analyst team.
• →Other duties as assigned.

 

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related field and five (5) + years of finance experience.
• Indirect or direct supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of functional area.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

• Requires demonstrated understanding and experience with a health system financial reporting, budgeting, financial planning, and other healthcare reporting techniques.
• Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Master’s degree in finance preferred.
• Experience in Healthcare setting.

 

• CPA preferred.
• Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system.

 

• Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.).
• Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
