Principal Engineer

The Principal Full Stack Engineer is a technology leader responsible for end-to-end design, backend/frontend integration, and system scalability. This role requires deep expertise in C#/.NET, Angular, SQL, and AWS platform. In addition to defining technical strategy, the role demands strong problem-solving skills to turn around underperforming products and modernize legacy systems. 

• →Own and drive the full-stack design for scalable and secure software solutions. 

• →Enforce best practices in Java OR C#/.NET, Angular, SQL Server, and microservices architecture. 

• →Define and evangelize coding standards 

• →Lead the adoption of modern backend and frontend technologies to improve performance and maintainability. 

• →Assess and stabilize struggling products by identifying performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies. 

• →Implement refactoring strategies for monolithic applications, migrating to microservices where needed. 

• →Optimize database performance, indexing, and query tuning to ensure scalability. 

• →Improve API reliability, reduce latency, and optimize system integrations. 

• →Lead by example with hands-on coding, design reviews, and performance tuning. 

• →Ensure robust unit testing, integration testing, and automated deployments. 

• →Champion security best practices across the stack, ensuring compliance with industry standards. 

• →Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and data teams to create a cohesive development environment. 

• →Mentor and coach senior engineers across backend and full-stack domains. 

• →Partner with product leadership to ensure alignment between technical strategy and business objectives. 

• →Influence technical direction across teams, fostering a culture of innovation and high standards. 

• →Lead the adoption and effective usage of AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer, Sourcegraph Cody) to accelerate engineering productivity. 

• →Evaluate, pilot, and roll out AI tools and platforms across development teams, integrating them into day-to-day workflows and CI/CD pipelines. 

• →Define and implement guidance and best practices for using generative AI in secure, compliant, and performance-conscious ways. 

• →Collaborate with engineering leaders and platform teams to measure impact, gather feedback, and continuously improve AI adoption strategy. 

• →Stay current with the evolving AI landscape and assess the applicability of new tools to improve developer experience, code quality, and delivery velocity. 

• Backend: Expert in C#/.NET Core, ASP.NET, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred). 

• Frontend: Strong experience with Angular, TypeScript, and state management (NgRx or similar). 

• Database: Deep knowledge of SQL Server, query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning. 

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices. 

• Strong understanding of system security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and scalability principles. 

• Experience driving AI-assisted engineering transformation, with hands-on use and rollout of tools like Copilot, Amazon Q, or similar platforms 

• Proven ability to turn around struggling products and reduce technical debt. 

• Strong architectural vision and ability to influence engineering direction across multiple teams. 

• Excellent mentorship skills, with a track record of developing senior engineers into technical leaders. 

• Ability to communicate technical strategies to both engineering teams and executive leadership.
