NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION UNDER THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR’S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

An application concerning the employment of one or more alien workers for the following permanent position will be filed with the U.S. Department of Labor. This Notice of Filing will be posted for 10 (ten) consecutive business days, ending between 30 and 180 days before filing the permanent labor certification application.

Counselor - Behavioral Health

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conduct face-to-face psychosocial assessments and intake evaluations and administer neuropsychological and psychological tests. Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling, including cognitive behavioral therapy group counseling and case management. Perform utilization review, discharge planning, and therapeutic intervention. Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and provide patients and families with appropriate resources and education. Assess psychosocial risk factors, including prior functioning, support systems, reactions to illness, and coping abilities. Counsel patients and families regarding the emotional, social, and financial effects of illness or disability. Mobilize community and family resources and provide mental health assessments upon physician referral. Serve as the primary point of contact in cases involving child abuse or neglect, elder abuse or neglect, institutional abuse, and domestic violence, and act as liaison with protective agencies. Provide clinical intervention support in matters involving guardianship, foster care, adoption, and mental health Level II placements. Support individuals experiencing acute crises through de-escalation techniques designed to prevent violence and ensure safety.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field, plus five years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist or Behavioral Health Counselor in a clinical or hospital adult behavioral health setting, including experience in neuropsychological and psychological testing.

2. Must possess, or be eligible to obtain, an Indiana license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC).

Annual salary: $67,340
