PRN Radiologic Technologist – Outpatient Radiology | IU Health Arnett

Join the Outpatient Radiology team at IU Health Arnett in a flexible PRN role. This position offers excellent work-life balance with no holidays and no call requirements.

Our team provides high-quality imaging services across four outpatient locations, with opportunities to cover sites as needed for vacations, leaves, and staffing support. Each location is equipped with the same imaging equipment, allowing for a smooth transition between sites.

Provide exceptional imaging services to outpatient and urgent care patients
Work in a patient-centered environment focused on quality and compassion
Support multiple outpatient locations while maintaining consistent standards of care
Collaborate with a skilled and supportive healthcare team

This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist seeking flexibility while working in a professional, fast-paced outpatient setting dedicated to outstanding patient care!

Operates imaging equipment.   Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follows radiation safety protocols. Documents detailed patient history. Stays current with continuing education. Monitors patients during exam for safety. Documents necessary information in EMR.   

  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
