Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Indy Metro Anesthesia leadership team in the role of Practice Manager.
Responsible for coordinating and supporting a broad range of administrative, operational, and physician practice functions to ensure the effective delivery of patient care services and efficient practice operations. Serves as a key liaison between physicians, anesthetists, management, support staff, and organizational stakeholders to facility communication, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
Provides administrative oversight for physician onboarding and offboarding activities, physician scheduling support, compensation administration, reporting, compliance coordination, and daily operational processes. Supports service line leadership through project coordination, meeting facilitation, data analysis, financial and operational reporting, and workforce planning. Supervises assigned support staff and fosters a collaborative, service-oriented environment that promotes quality, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
Works closely with physicians, practice leadership, finance, human resources, compliance, billing, and other departments to ensure organizational objectives are met, operational needs are addressed, and physician and staff resources are effectively aligned to support patient care and business goals.
This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift. Ideal candidates will have previous leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

Physician onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing administrative support
Staff supervision and support for assigned practice personnel
Physician scheduling coordination and workforce planning
Compensation administration, reporting, and financial reconciliations
Operational reporting and analytics
Service line leadership support and project coordination
Compliance, billing, and regulatory liaison activities
Meeting facilitation and stakeholder communication
Practice operations and process improvement initiatives
Reports to: Service Line Administrator
Direct Reports: 4
Key Relationships: Physicians, SLA, Scheduling Manager, Practice Operations Specialist, Finance, Physician Compensation, Facility Scheduling
Requirements
~2 min readCandidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- Requires 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
- Requires knowledge of Third party payer regulations.
- Prefer a Master's degree in Health Care Administration or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or health care related field with a minimum of 2 years of concurrent management experience within an ambulatory/physician practice setting.
- At least three years of prior experience in a business office and clinical setting with management experience is preferred.
