Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

• Obtain TNCC, ENPC, SANE, CEN, TCRN, and CPEN certificates 
• Providing patient care in a fast-paced environment 
• Understanding how to balance nurse to patient ratios while providing excellent patient care

• Become a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Forensic Nurse Examiner through the (SANE/FNE) program

• Dynamic fast paced environment 
• Team members help foster new RNs and develop their skillsets in the ED
• Leadership pathways to help you grow in your career
• Participate in a robust Interprofessional Practice Council lead by our bedside team members and discuss opportunities to make real changes at the bedside 

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
    • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
