Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results
- →Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, & HCPCS codes
- →Ensure accurate APC assignment
- →Resolve pre-bill coding edits
- →Work coding-related denials
- →Maintain coding quality, productivity, and compliance standards
- →Provide operational support as needed to remain current on workflows and functions
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• RHIT or CCS credential required.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ICD-9; CPT code assignment and APC grouping.
• Requires ability to read, understand and interpret medical records and other treatment documentation.
• Requires high level of concentration.
• Requires the ability to function effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills to communicate with physicians.
