Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Privacy Counsel team in the role of Team Lead-Privacy Office. 

 The Team Lead, Privacy Office manages a complex portfolio of projects for the assigned business unit and serves as the team lead for Project Managers who conduct privacy investigations, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and resolution. This role monitors Privacy Office investigative records to ensure thorough investigations, as well as accurate and timely completion. The Team Lead provides operational coverage for and accepts assignments from the Privacy Office inbox and report line, generally during peak volumes or as backup to primary coverage, including managing privacy investigations from intake, fact-finding, assessment, and reporting (if applicable) through closure. Additionally, the role assists Privacy Office functions in large incidents, including data reviews and analysis for regulatory breach determinations. The Team Lead also supports HIPAA Privacy policies and guidance document activities, including overseeing development and updating, document management system entry and publication, posting on team member portals and sites, education, and service on approval committees.

Shift: This is an onsite position.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• Requires knowledge of state and federal regulatory agency laws and requirements pertaining to healthcare privacy.

• Professional certification is preferred, such as health care privacy compliance (CHPC), certified HIPAA privacy expert (CHPE), or International Associate of Privacy Professionals-Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US).
