Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Teaching undergraduate courses in one’s area of expertise, while also meeting departmental teaching needs
- →Mentoring students in their academic, professional, and spiritual development
- →Developing and sustaining a research agenda that involves undergraduates and contributes to the discipline
- →Collaborating with colleagues in curriculum development and program initiatives
- →Serving the university through committee work, engagement in the broader community, and participation/leadership in state and national professional organizations

Requirements
~1 min read- A doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field is required
- At least one (1) year of higher education teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrates mature personal faith in Jesus Christ and a willingness to embrace the theological and lifestyle commitments of The Wesleyan Church
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to foster effective relationships among colleagues, students, and external partners
- Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and techniques
- Skill in assessing the impact of teaching on student learning and in refining instructional design accordingly
- Ability to provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback to students in both oral and written forms
- Proficiency with computers and educational technology, including MS Office, Internet resources, and Learning Management Systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Clear and effective verbal expression
- Capacity to advise, instruct, motivate, and mentor students toward academic and professional excellence, and to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and the public in a professional and Christ-centered manner
