Job Title: Lead Consultant – Energy & Utilities Practice

Location: Sydney Locations / Hybrid

Infosys Consulting is seeking a driven Senior Consultant (Mid-Level) to join our Energy & Utilities Practice. In this role, you will lead high-impact workstreams within complex digital and operational transformation programs for electric, gas, water, and renewable utility clients. We are specifically seeking candidates with prior experience from a Big 4 firm or an enterprise-scale IT management consultancy, equipped with a strong mix of business domain insight, technology delivery exposure, and client-facing advisory skills. You will bridge the gap between strategic business objectives and large-scale technical implementations, working alongside global cross-functional teams.

1. Client Advisory & Transformation Delivery

 * Lead functional workstreams across major utility client engagements, defining target operating models, business processes, and solution roadmaps.

 * Drive requirements gathering, process mapping (As-Is/To-Be), gap analysis, and functional specification development.

 * Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, translating complex utility domain challenges into scalable technology solutions.

2. Core Utility Platform & Technology Integration

 * Advise clients on modernizing legacy environments across the utility value chain (Retail, Transmission, Distribution, and Smart Metering).

 * Provide functional subject-matter guidance on core utility platform implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Utilities/IS-U, Oracle CC&B/MDM, Utilities Cloud, GIS, EAM, or ADMS).

 * Oversee business process design and support functional testing (SIT/UAT), data migration strategy, and operational cutover activities.

3. Agile Delivery & Global Team Leadership

 * Manage delivery scope using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall project management frameworks.

 * Partner with global delivery teams (onshore/offshore) to ensure solution alignment, quality execution, and milestone tracking.

 * Mentor junior consultants and manage day-to-day team performance within project workstreams.

4. Assist with Practice Growth & Thought Leadership

 * Contribute to pre-sales efforts, RFPs, scope estimation, and technical pitch decks for prospective utility transformation deals.

 * Participate in practice development by building reusable assets, solution accelerators, and publishing domain thought leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

 * 6 to 9 years of total consulting experience, with at least 3+ years within a Big 4 or top-tier enterprise IT consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, Capgemini or similar)

 * Proven track record delivering functional or technical workstreams on enterprise-scale IT/digital transformation programs within the Utilities (Power, Gas, Water, Renewables) sector.

 * Experience working across working across one or more utility operational domains:

• Customer Operations & Billing (CIS / MDM)
• Grid Operations, Smart Metering (AMI) & SCADA
• Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) & Field Service Management (FSM)
• Energy Transition / Renewable Integration (Solar, EV infrastructure, Storage)

 * Deep familiarity with core enterprise platforms (SAP IS-U/S4, Oracle CC&B, Salesforce, GIS).

 * Strong knowledge of Agile project management methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).

 * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

 * Excellent stakeholder management, structured problem-solving, and executive presentation capabilities.

 * Willingness to travel to client sites based on project demands.
