Hello there! Infrrd here.

Haven’t heard of us before? No problem.First off, it’s pronounced In-fur-d.

We are a leading Enterprise AI and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) company that helps global organizations automate complex, document-heavy workflows using AI and machine learning. Our solutions power mission-critical operations across mortgage, insurance, construction, and manufacturing—unlocking data trapped in documents to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at scale.

And now, we are on the lookout for Manager - Underwriting, who can manage day-to-day operations of a team of underwriters/QC analysts, to perform comprehensive QC reviews on closed residential mortgage loans across multiple loan types while ensuring strict compliance with agency, investor, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Team & People Management

  • Hire, onboard, and train new underwriters; build and maintain training curriculum
  • Conduct coaching, performance reviews, and calibration sessions to ensure consistent underwriting/QC decisions across the team

Underwriting & QC Oversight

  • Review and approve/escalate complex or exception-based loan files across VA, FHA, and Conventional products
  • Personally audit and validate post-closing QC reviews — including income, assets, credit, collateral, compliance, and closing documentation — to confirm findings are accurate and properly root-caused
  • Serve as the final point of escalation for underwriting/QC deficiency findings and disputes
  • Ensure full-file QC reviews (pre- and post-closing) comply with agency, investor, and federal/state regulatory guidelines
  • Own team-level SLAs: quality accuracy rate, turnaround time (TAT), rework/error rate, and QC defect rate
  • Support and drive Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives arising from QC findings
  • Identify recurring underwriting/QC defect patterns and drive process improvement initiatives

Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain 100% adherence to internal QC policies, controls, and governance standards
  • Track regulatory and guideline updates (VA circulars, HUD mortgagee letters, GSE/Fannie-Freddie updates, TRID, ATR/QM) and cascade changes to the team
  • Support internal, investor, and regulatory (HUD/VA) audits by providing documentation and guideline justification
  • Report team metrics (productivity, quality, TAT, QC defect trends) to senior leadership
