SD3 - Principal Engineer - Ruby & Rails (RoR) Application Development

We work closely with our clients to build world-class products - either from our office or from our client offices. We firmly believe in agile engineering practices. We have an aggressive plan to double our current strength of 60 in the current year. 

We are looking for Ruby & Rails (RoR) developers responsible for developing server side/backend applications/REST APIs. Primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. 

• →Developing Ruby/RoR based backend applications 
• →Delivering well written REST APIs: API Definitions, end-to-end service design and implementation
• →Writing good quality, modular, reusable, performant, well documented, unit-tested code

• Must be very well versed with application design, development, deployment/production and post-deployment monitoring processes
• Should be very strong in OOPS concepts, data structures and algorithms
• Deep knowledge of Ruby on Rails (RoR) practices and commonly used modules; deep understanding of RoR internals like databases, API, caching, proxies, web services, performance, and scalability.
• Language/Framework Skills Required: Ruby, Rails, Javascript
• Excellent MySQL skills, knows SQL in detail 
• Should be able to design & develop applications modules/features. 
• Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English. 
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum framework Able to work well with business teams and understand business processes.

• Knowledge of React/Angular will be a plus
• Exposure/knowledge of Java will be a plus.
• Knowledge of PHP and Laravel is a plus
• Knowledge of working with cloud environments such as  AWS
• Knowledge of DevOps tools & practices

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in Computer science/Information science/Information Technology
• 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Ruby & Rails framework

• Each step is an elimination and the candidate has to clear each to proceed to the next
• Offline Programming test 
• 2 rounds of Technical interview and 1 round of Client interview (Telephonic)
• Management interview (Telephonic)
