InStride Health’s mission is to deliver specialty anxiety and OCD care that works for every kid, teen, young adult, and family who needs it. Through this mission, we are expanding access to insurance-based care, increasing engagement in treatment, and improving treatment outcomes. We are doing this by combining research-backed clinical care and innovative technology to eliminate the major problems with care today: difficulty finding providers, months of waiting to be seen, arduous onboarding processes, and inconsistent use of evidence-based therapies and outcomes tracking. Our vision is to become the nation’s most trusted provider of pediatric anxiety and OCD care.

  • Give Heart: We lead with heart, treating patients and their families the way we want our loved ones to be treated.
  • Work Smart: We find smarter ways to solve hard problems and fix the broken mental health system by leveraging technology, diversity of thought, and innovation.
  • Have Humility: We leave our egos at the door, empowering our team to collaborate, celebrate diversity, and adopt a growth mindset.
  • Embrace Community: We all belong. We are in this together, and we never worry alone. We believe in each other and recognize that every voice matters.

About the Role

~2 min read

The Senior Manager of Clinical Product is a clinical expert within our Clinical Product team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving InStride’s therapy content, training, and protocols to ensure they are effective, evidence-based, and best in class. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Product, this person pairs deep expertise in the treatment of pediatric anxiety, OCD, and related disorders with a passion for building scalable, evidence-based clinical content, training and AI-enabled tools.

This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role. The Senior Manager of Clinical Product plays a key role in supporting organizational growth by preparing our clinical product for expansion into new ages, payers (e.g., Medicaid), and conditions; driving external dissemination that builds our clinical reputation and reach; and equipping our care team to treat the most complex presentations with confidence and fidelity. AI is a core part of the role. The Senior Manager of Clinical Product will help lead the responsible and innovative integration of AI into clinical care, shaping tools, training, and protocols that make our care team more effective and our care more scalable. The SME serves as a trusted subject matter resource and collaborative partner across Clinical Product, Clinical Operations, Business Development/Marketing, and Tech Product. This is a force-multiplier role: by raising the clinical capability of the entire care team and building scalable content, training, and AI tools, the Senior Manager of Clinical Product extends the reach of our clinical expertise across every patient we serve, ensuring that as InStride grows, it grows with quality rather than at the expense of it.

  • Serve as an internal expert on the InStride care model and evidence-based practices for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders as well as frequently co-occurring conditions.
  • Act as a trusted clinical resource and innovator for specialty content, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholder collaboration.
  • Stay current with emerging best practices and rapidly integrate cutting-edge approaches so InStride’s clinical product remains best in class.
  • Produce, review and coordinate evidence-based clinical content for external audiences, including blogs, webinars, thought leadership, website content, and other educational resources, in partnership with the Growth team.
  • Partner with the Growth team to ensure InStride’s clinical offerings are represented accurately and compellingly in external materials, including clear articulation of appropriate patient populations, clinical indications, and how each offering fits within InStride’s broader care model.
  • Represent InStride’s clinical work in PR opportunities and external partner meetings, consulting colleagues when a topic sits outside your zone of expertise.
  • Prepare clinical content, protocols, and training to support planned expansions into new age bands, payers (e.g., Medicaid), and conditions, so InStride can enter new markets and unlock new revenue while growing without compromising clinical quality.
  • Tailor evidence-based content across the developmental span, from young children to young adults, and adapt it for new populations as we expand.
  • Provide clinical expertise to support the evaluation and development of new populations and conditions that align with InStride's care model and evidence base.
  • Build and continuously improve the training, protocols, and clinical resources that enable InStride’s care team to treat the most complex, high-acuity, avoidance-driven presentations of anxiety, OCD, and related disorders with confidence and fidelity.
  • Design and deliver ongoing care team training that raises clinical capability across therapists, exposure coaches, and psychiatrists as we own increasingly complex cases.
  • Strengthen care team confidence and consistency in treating high-acuity cases, reducing avoidable escalations, dropouts, and refer outs, and supporting clinician retention by equipping providers to succeed with hard cases.
  • Serve as a go-to clinical resource for supervisors and care team leaders when complex-case or specialized expertise is needed, and translate emerging research into practical, usable guidance for front-line providers.
  • Help lead the responsible and innovative integration of AI into clinical care, partnering closely with Tech Product to shape tools and develop effective feedback loops.
  • Translate clinical requirements into effective, responsible AI product, and build the training and change management that helps the care team adopt AI tools with trust and competence.
  • Stay current with emerging AI capabilities and evidence-based practice, and identify where AI can make InStride’s care more effective, more consistent, and more scalable, improving clinical efficiency and margin as we grow.
  • Design AI-enabled workflows that support clinician utilization and protect against burnout, helping InStride grow utilization and access.
  • Lead regular updates to the curriculum, Provider Guide, and clinical protocols, and develop new clinical materials as needed.
  • Evaluate content and protocols to identify and close gaps, and support a standardized feedback loop with Clinical Operations.
  • Partner with Design so materials align with the InStride brand and offer an engaging, user-friendly experience.
  • Serve as a flexible clinical resource across teams, providing timely consultation, feedback, and guidance, and contributing to additional clinical protocols, tools, and content as organizational priorities evolve.
  • Support feedback loop with the care team with regular communication touch points.
  • Contribute to strategic enablers and major clinical initiatives.
  • Serve as the therapy subject matter expert on cross-functional teams, providing clinical input into Tech Product and Design.
  • Provide direct care by facilitating 1–2 parent/caregiver and/or patient groups and providing clinical evaluation coverage as needed, maintaining close connection to the care process and to patient, family, and provider needs.

  • PhD or PsyD in psychology from an accredited school of psychology, LICSW from an accredited school of social work, or LMHC & Masters degree from an accredited graduate program
  • Advanced clinical background and education focused on children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders and common comorbidities.

  • Experience creating engaging, evidence-based clinical materials for children, teens, and young adults, and tailoring them by age.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical and operational concepts into clear content and protocols.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI and a trajectory of adopting new tools; we’re looking for the mindset and momentum to grow into an AI-forward clinical role, not a finished portfolio of AI builds.
  • Enthusiasm for applying AI responsibly to improve care, and comfort partnering with technical teams to shape and adopt AI-enabled clinical tools.
  • Preferred: experience working on a clinical product team and interfacing with technology/product partners to build clinical tools; comfort operating at the intersection of clinical practice and product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strategic prioritization, independent judgment, and the flexibility to be nimble amid change.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, and cultural competence with regard to diversity and inclusion.

The expected annual salary for this role is between $130,000-$145,000. Actual starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis and will be based on several factors including but not limited to specific skill set, work experience, licensure, etc. Additional compensation may be considered based on factors such as licensure type, appropriate state licensure, prime time hour availability, and more.
