• Maintain effective payroll governance, policies, processes, internal controls, and compliance with SOX, tax, audit, and local regulatory requirements.
• Provide expertise on complex payroll matters, including stock option taxation, payroll exceptions, and country-specific requirements.
• Partner with HR, Finance, business leaders, and payroll vendors to resolve issues and maintain operational alignment.
• Deliver recurring payroll reporting, ad hoc analysis, audit documentation, and controls testing support.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and continuously improve payroll processes across the region.

What Success Looks Like

• The regional payroll team is engaged, capable, and accountable for high-quality delivery.
• Payroll questions and exceptions are resolved promptly and professionally.
• Workday and third-party payroll providers operate in a coordinated and effective way.
• Processes become more consistent, efficient, scalable, and automated over time.
• HR, Finance, and business leaders view Payroll as a knowledgeable and dependable partner.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will bring substantial payroll and HR operations experience, people leadership capability, and hands-on knowledge of Workday or a comparable payroll platform. They will be analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable managing competing priorities, and able to communicate effectively across organizational levels. Experience in a shared services environment, continuous improvement, LEAN or Six Sigma methods, and automation would be valuable.
