Intermediate Automated Test Developer

We are looking for an intermediate-to-senior automated test developer who is passionate about software quality and test automation. You will contribute to the design and implementation of an automated testing framework based on Selenium, Java and TestNG, within the Guidewire BillingCenter environment.

• →Define test plans, scenarios and scripts related to new features developed by the team.
• →Develop and execute automated tests.
• →Provide guidance on the use of Selenium.
• →Add features to the application framework.
• →Provide guidance on industry best practices.
• →Analyze and manage issues.
• →Contribute to the evolution of our testing practices.
• →Estimate testing efforts.
• →Collaborate with manual quality assurance testers, developers and business analysts.
• →Build strong relationships with development and product teams to understand our product and all its intricacies.
• →Identify gaps in test coverage and add new scenarios.

• At least 3 years of experience with Selenium and TestNG.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
• At least 5 years of experience and strong knowledge of modern versions of Java (Java 17+) and Spring.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Bilingualism. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

• Experience with Cucumber, JMeter and/or Git.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• ISTQB® certification.
• Knowledge of the Gosu programming language.
• Experience integrating automated tests into a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of the billing and collections domain.
• Experience with Guidewire.
• A committed, open-minded, autonomous team player motivated by success.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to synthesize information.
