Senior Functional Analyst, Intact Lab

We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join our growing Lab team!

What you'll do here:

• Analyze business requirements to define IT solutions.
• Facilitate and participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions.
• Conduct impact analyses and effort estimates to recommend, obtain approval for, and document IT solutions using effective methods, while working with both business users and the IT project team.
• Support solution development and technical analyses. For example, you may be required to review existing code or document responses from third-party application programming interfaces (APIs). The team is primarily composed of back-end developers.
• Support quality assurance activities and user acceptance testing.
• Support the Product Manager in defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
• Document user stories in a way that is clear and understandable to developers and the quality assurance team.
• Identify and communicate impacts on business processes to support change management within business units through a train-the-trainer approach.
• Create and maintain robust, accurate, and accessible functional and technical documentation for all stakeholders across the organization.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Project experience using the Scrum methodology.
• Experience and knowledge in the insurance industry are an asset.
• Experience with and knowledge of applications in web environments.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and DNG.
• Proficiency with general-purpose artificial intelligence tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Atlassian Rovo, and other GPT tools.
• Bilingualism (French and English) - Need to interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
