Senior Software Developer (Guidewire/Java/Angular) Bilingual (FR/EN)

As part of the Contact Billing program which aims to deploy a billing and collection system across all Intact companies and provinces, we are looking for a Guidewire Developer to support the migration of the Guidewire BillingCenter platform to Guidewire’s Cloud SaaS version.This position is part of the T Billing Development team.

• →Contribute to the migration of Guidewire BillingCenter to the Cloud SaaS version;
• →Enhance and develop functionalities that meet users’ needs;
• →Design solutions, analyze issues, and recommend appropriate approaches;
• →Prepare work effort estimates for assigned tasks;
• →Program, test, debug, and document the solutions developed;
• →Participate in the development of Java applications and services in an Agile environment;
• →Work closely with Quality Assurance teams, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders;
• →Participate in the developer community and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices, tools, and processes;
• →Promote and apply software development best practices.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a combination of relevant education and experience;
• At least two years of experience developing on one of the Guidewire platforms;
• Strong experience with Java development;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Bilinguism required (French and English) - Need to interact regularly with colleagues across the country;
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada;

• Guidewire certifications;
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud SaaS;
• Experience migrating or upgrading a Guidewire platform;
• Experience with Guidewire BillingCenter;
• Experience with Spring Boot;
• Experience with Cucumber and RestAssured;
• Experience with Git;
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence;
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience working in an Agile environment;
• Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry;
• Knowledge of billing and collection processes.
