Team Lead, Actuarial, Operational Performance Analytics

We're looking for a Team Lead, Actuarial to join our growing Operational Performance Analytics (OPA) team, where collaboration, creativity and high impact projects are at the heart of our mandate.

In this role, you will report to a manager and be responsible for leading a small team of 2–3 actuarial analysts, while serving as both technical and project lead. OPA is a national analytics team dedicated to delivering insights and analysis that support Intact Insurance in enhancing operational excellence, driving productivity, fostering growth and elevating service quality across underwriting teams.

• →Contribute to executing key team objectives by actively participating in hands-on work, providing technical advice to team members and ensuring the quality of their work

• →Formulate appropriate recommendations after analyzing and interpreting reports produced by actuarial analysts to improve the performance of underwriting operations.

• →Manage the evaluation, development and coaching of your team members to achieve the company’s strategic objectives, while creating a highly engaged workforce, where employees contribute to the success of the team and company.

• →Manage your team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget planning.

• →Represent OPA in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with stakeholders.

• University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

• Job-specific designation: FCAS or FCIA an asset.

• Minimum of 5 years experience, including 1 year of coaching (major asset).

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques.

• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
