Facilities Life Safety Systems (LSS) Technician

The Role and Impact As a Facilities Life Safety Systems Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operational effectiveness of Intel's life safety systems, including fire alarms, HPM Systems, and related equipment. You will provide hands-on expertise, system design reviews, and proactive support to optimize these systems for compliance and performance. Your work will directly contribute to protecting Intel's facilities, people, and operations, while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability. As part of this group, you will collaborate with experts in various fields to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of critical life safety systems, enabling Intel's facilities to operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Support the day-to-day operation, troubleshooting, and execution of life safety systems, including fire alarms, and Hazardous Production Materials (HPM). - Conduct design reviews for fire alarms, and Hazardous Production Materials (HPM) and related components, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards. - Collaborate with manufacturers to address system issues and oversee system implementation and integration. - Provide engineering support for the design and construction of life safety systems, recommending improvements to meet code requirements and enhance system performance. - Assist in optimizing and modifying life safety systems to accommodate building or occupancy changes. - Maintain and update design standards and specifications for life safety systems. - Stay current on applicable regulations, codes, and standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
