Quality and Reliability System Engineer (Contract)

The Role and Impact As a CPU Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and performance of Intel's cutting-edge CPUs. You will contribute to designing, developing, and executing innovative validation strategies to test and optimize CPU features and internal components. Your work will directly impact the quality and reliability of Intel's high-performance, power-efficient computing solutions, enabling advancements in technology that shape industries worldwide. Business group You will be joining the Silicon and Platform Engineering Group (SPE), a dynamic organization dedicated to driving innovation in semiconductor technologies. The group focuses on developing and validating key silicon products, ensuring their performance, reliability, and integration in various systems. Your contributions will support Intel's mission of delivering world-class computing solutions to power a smarter and more connected world. Key Responsibilities - Innovative Experimentation: Develop and execute system stress experiments based on product requirements in both Windows and Linux environments. - Automation Mastery: Automate system stress flows to control voltage, temperature, and frequency. - Tool Development: Create and refine test tools and scripts to debug and validate system test content. - Workload Optimization: Analyze and tune workloads to optimize their effectiveness within system-level stress experiments. - Insightful Analysis: Analyze and report on stress testing results, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. - Define, develop, and execute functional validation methodologies and test plans for CPUs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing groups, to optimize CPU design and validation strategies. - Perform silicon debug to identify root causes and resolve functional and triage failures for CPU issues. - Develop and maintain post-silicon validation infrastructure and automation.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electronics engineering or a related field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in domain with demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training. - Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher), with strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidate will be working with international teams. - Strong Python programming skills. Alternative programming expertise will be considered on a case-by-case basis (example, C++ or any other object-oriented programming language). - Experience working with various Operating Systems, including Windows and Linux (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora). Preferred Qualifications - Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware and software systems. - Foundational understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitecture principles. - Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Passion for innovation and contributing to impactful technology advancements.
