Material Specialist

Job Title: Material Specialist
Location: Cayce, SC
Assignment: Through May 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days | Start between 7:00–8:00 AM

Position Overview

• We are seeking a Material Specialist to support storeroom and inventory operations across multiple power generation facilities in South Carolina.
• This role will focus on new item creation, data synchronization between Maximo and SAP, SOX compliance, and additional inventory/material management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support material and inventory management activities across multiple facilities.
• Assist with new item creation and maintenance.
• Sync and maintain material data between Maximo and SAP.
• Support SOX compliance and inventory-related processes.
• Assist with inventory analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with storeroom personnel and cross-functional teams.
• Identify and resolve material/inventory issues while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma plus relevant work experience.
• 4–6 years of related experience in materials management, procurement, inventory control, or a similar field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to process information quickly and accurately.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP and Maximo.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory control.
• Knowledge of material/service contract requirements.
• Understanding of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with inventory analysis and value/cost analysis.
• Basic forecasting and trend analysis experience.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
