TeraHop is a global leader in high-speed optical connectivity for AI and hyperscale data center networks. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Singapore, we run R&D, sales, customer support and high-volume manufacturing across the United States, Thailand, and Taiwan, China. Our 400G, 800G, 1.6T and silicon-photonics transceivers are used by top cloud and AI infrastructure customers worldwide.
We are building our North America manufacturing team in Richardson, Texas, and are hiring the first leaders for our assembly, testing and packaging lines.

About the Role

The Packaging Line Leader runs the final packaging line for our optical transceivers. You will lead the packaging team, make sure every unit ships correctly labeled and protected, and keep materials stocked.

Responsibilities

→Line operations: Run daily packaging schedules to meet output goals.
→Quality control: Check that transceivers have correct labels and serial numbers and are properly sealed in anti-static packaging.
→Training: Teach team members safety rules, ESD protection methods and equipment operation.
→Problem solving: Resolve basic machine errors and call maintenance for larger repairs.
→Inventory: Track packaging boxes, anti-static bags and labels to prevent shortages.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years on an electronics or high-tech packaging line, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisor role.
Experience leading a production team of 10–20 operators.
Knowledge of ESD safety, 5S workplace organization and lean manufacturing.
Basic computer skills (Excel or ERP systems).
Strong people and problem-solving skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Able to travel internationally for 1–2 months of training.

Technical degree or college coursework.

New hires complete a 1–2 month training program at our manufacturing site in Asia before taking on their US responsibilities. Training is fully paid, and the company covers all travel, lodging, meals and transportation.

What We Offer

✓$28–$32 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

✓Day shift for now; shifts will follow company scheduling once production lines launch, with a night shift differential for night work.

✓Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate, per federal law. Overtime is not regular during the current preparation phase.

✓Medical insurance, 401(k) with 5% match, paid time off, sick leave and public holidays.

Temperature-controlled production floor. Cleanroom entry is required.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be employed directly by TeraHop.
