Responsibilities

  • →Lead the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping and laundry teams, including scheduling, work assignments, and shift coverage.
  • →Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and stocking meet company standards.
  • →Perform room cleaning, public-area cleaning, and laundry processing as needed to support daily operations.
  • →Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
  • →Report unusual guest conduct to the Location Manager or Manager on Duty.
  • →Ensure that Lost & Found and key security procedures are followed.
  • →Coach and develop staff through ongoing feedback and training; partner with the Location Manager on performance documentation, reviews, and corrective action as needed.
  • →Manage supply and linen inventories, including tracking usage and ensuring items are reordered and stocked as needed.
  • →Coordinate and assist with periodic deep cleaning and preventative maintenance projects.
  • →Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally; communicate with the Location Manager and department supervisors to ensure timely resolution.
  • →Complete required training and certifications; cross-train in other departments as assigned.
  • →Perform other duties as assigned by the Location Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and chemical use (Ecolab experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, prioritize tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a friendly, professional approach when interacting with guests and coworkers.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service.

Experience:

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or a related field preferred

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Supervising Housekeeping team.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens sporadically throughout the day. 
  • Push and pull a hotel or laundry cart up to 75 pounds as needed. 
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching while making beds and cleaning rooms. 
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including stairs and occasional outdoor areas. 
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment, following all safety and PPE requirements.
