Associate Director - Financial Services Advisory

Interpath is a global advisory firm with a focus on providing strategic support to businesses, investors, and stakeholders. We cater to a diverse clientele, ranging from small to medium enterprises to some of the largest organisations in the world.

Our independent Financial Services Advisory team is part of the Debt and Capital Advisory and team offers unbiased advice and strategic insights to clients across their lifecycle and to help them assess the quality of loan books and internal and governance control environments.

Interpath’s FS team are a multi-disciplinary team of former bankers and lenders with experience across a wide number of lending sectors and financial services entities.  

The team has multi-jurisdictional experience in Ireland, the UK and EU in the following areas;

• On Site Inspections for regulators and lender boards and the managing of inspections by Competent Authorities on behalf of lenders.
• Financial Crime compliance and MLRO activities in various jurisdictions
• Governance review and assistance in building management structures at a Regulated Financial Institution
• Control Environment reviews in support of Asset Quality Reviews and risk & credit management
• Customer Onboarding and AML regulations including sanctions, adverse media, money laundering and fraud/financial crime.
• Significant credit experience across all main lending categories including Real Estate, Land & Development, Corporate, SME, Retail Mortgages, Renewables, Leverage & Specialised finance
• Support diligence work on transactions destined for securitisations including forward flow, Agreed upon Procedures and related activities.   

The Team continues to work with a high-profile group of banks, lenders, borrowers and investors. They have a strong competency in Financial Crime having worked on a number of other high profile FS corporate failures and M&A transactions.

We are currently seeking a proactive Associate Director to join our team and contribute to our ambitious objectives. The successful candidate will engage with a variety of sectors and debt products.

• Lead engagement execution and project management.
• Participate in engagement planning and structuring discussions.
• Develop and review high-quality client reports.
• Conduct financial modelling and analysis.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, lenders, and third parties.
• Assist in new business development and pitch preparation.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Contribute to enhancing Interpath’s reputation through high-quality project delivery.

• Experience in holding PCF or similar roles and responsibilities is of assistance.
• At least five years background in Financial Services and compliance.
• A background in lending at first or second line and understanding of governance and compliance architecture around lending.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CAI, CFA, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong financial modelling expertise to support analysis of financing structures including covenant modelling and reporting.
• Proficiency in capital markets products and concepts together with debt products.
