Senior Legal Counsel (Financial Incentives Team)

We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join Invest Lithuania’s Financial Incentives team. In this role, you will provide legal guidance on complex financial incentive projects and advise colleagues and investors on regulatory, state aid, contractual, and corporate matters. You will also help develop and improve incentive measures and legislation, working closely with ministries, public institutions, and other partners to strengthen Lithuania’s investment climate and create a more competitive business environment.

• Prepare strategic legal guidance and insights on Lithuania’s investment and business environment for internal teams supporting national and foreign investors throughout the preparation and implementation of investment projects in Lithuania. 
• Provide in-depth legal advice to our internal team and strategic partners on the development, design, and enhancement of incentive measures for investors. 
• Handle or lead legal analysis, including involvement in the delivery of proposals/draft regulations or legal opinions to improve business environment. 
• Advise internal teams on corporate, contractual, regulatory, and governance matters, and contribute to the development of the organization’s in-house legal practice. 
• Represent Invest Lithuania at central and local government institutions and in relationships with other companies or agencies. 

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law. 

• At least 5 years of proven experience as a lawyer.  

• Experience in state aid law and legislative processes in Lithuania would be an advantage.
• Experience advising international clients would be an advantage. 
• In-depth understanding of Lithuanian legal acts and the ability to use them effectively. 

• Fluency in both spoken and written Lithuanian and English. 

• A high degree of autonomy in executing tasks.  

• The ability to solve complex problems, organize data, draw conclusions, and present them clearly.
