VIKING OCEAN - UTILITY/ HOTEL CUSTODIAL

• →Clean all public Guest areas, back of house (BOH) and crew areas. Regular cleaning of officer and crew cabins.
• →Clean assigned Guest & crew corridors, trolleys, lockers, and pantries.
• →Work with and use various chemical cleaning products and floorcare equipment.
• →Remove dirty dishes and/or glassware from public areas.
• →Ensure that cleaning equipment is kept in good working order, reporting any maintenance and/or repair needs to the Assistant Chief Housekeeper.
• →Assist Guests with directions and general information in Guest areas, according to Viking’s STAR Service Standard.
• →Correctly handle cleaning products, materials and housekeeping equipment, segregating garbage, and making sure that all Public Health Standards are maintained.
• →Participate in luggage duty on embarkation & disembarkation day.

• One year’s experience as a Utility/Hotel Custodial or similar position in a 5 Star hospitality environment, or a formal hospitality training and a minimum of 6 months experience, is required; previous hotel and shipboard experience is preferred.
• Must have good English communication skills, including an ability to fluently interact with native English speaking guests.
• Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards are required; must be flexible and stress resistant, team player, shows commitment.
• Must be able to work with various chemicals, hazardous materials, and cleaning tools.
• Knowledge in floor care and experience in operating floor cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Must be physically fit and able to handle 50+ lbs., must be able to do extensive walking and have the ability to stand on your feet for a long time.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of basic Public Health and Sanitary Policies compliance.
• No visible tattoos
• Minimum 21 years old.
