ISS is searching for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen operations working Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) roster from Perth Airport to our remote sites throughout Western Australia. In this role, you will be working on a 2:1 roster, giving you the balance to enjoy life outside of work. Reporting to the Head Chef/Village Manager, you’ll showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic remote mining environment while supporting the catering team to deliver high-quality meals and a positive on-site dining experience for residents.
Working 10-12 hour days in demanding, remote environments means solid fitness and resilience are essential. If you’re driven, self-motivated, and ready for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
~1 min readAs Chef, you will participate in kitchen operations while working with fellow qualified chefs to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals with consistency and pride.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals consistently and efficiently
- Support the kitchen team to maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
- Assist with stock management, ordering, and kitchen operations
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution and service improvements
- Mentor junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment
