Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Itaú Summer Intern will take part in a 10-week program where they will be placed in an area for the duration of the summer, where you will engage in high impact strategic projects that will add value to the bank as well as your experience. This experience will be complemented by a mentorship program, networking events, speaker series, and an end of summer project. The goal of the internship is for the intern to leave with a strong foundation and cultivated skills, as well as an understanding of how a company such as Itaú works. Based on performance and a match between area and intern, successful summer interns may apply to future full-time positions at Itaú.
- Undergraduate at a Bahamian university
- Sophomore or junior, becoming junior or senior by June 2027
- Graduation: Dec 2027–Jun 2029
- GPA ≥ 3.65
- All bachelor’s majors welcome
- Bahamian work authorization
- 100% in person in Nassau
- No prior Bahamas Summer Internship participation
- Participation in extracurricular activities that demonstrate leadership, collaboration, initiative, community involvement, or personal development.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Fluency in English

- Finance: Supports the bank’s financial planning and decision-making processes through budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and strategic projects that help drive business performance.
- Fiduciary: Provides trust and fiduciary services to clients, supporting the administration of structures, asset custody, account management, and the execution of operational processes to ensure exceptional client service.
- Legal & Compliance: Helps ensure the bank operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies by supporting legal matters, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and governance initiatives.
