The TA will support instructional activities related to audio production by assisting with equipment handling and overseeing recording sessions in the downstairs studios. The TA will help ensure that studio sessions run smoothly, safely, and in accordance with department policies.
Requirements
~2 min readTeaching Assistants support students in the effective use of studio production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio, teleprompters, graphics, and related technologies, while providing guidance in production areas aligned with their expertise. TA will assist with equipment setup and breakdown, answer questions, provide training, and troubleshoot technical issues during class sessions.
Teaching Assistants will support students in the use of cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and editing software while fostering an active, collaborative learning environment and providing guidance in production areas aligned with their expertise. They assist with equipment distribution and return, support classroom exercises and student productions, and work closely with the instructor to facilitate course activities.
Requirements/Qualifications: Student must have taken the course before and received at least a B+.
The TA will assist in operation of television production equipment.
The TA will help to set up equipment, supervise and help students during class demos and make posters.
The TA will provide assistance to the professor in operation of various television production equipment.
The Live Event Production course is a Thesis level course with professional clients. The classroom assistants for this course assist during live broadcast productions that require an advance understanding of Live Event Production. These events are complex with professional community clients making it essential that hired assistants have completed the preprofessional training offered within the Live Event Production course.
The TA will assist during live event productions; pickup equipment reservations from PPECS and return equipment; assist with the Live Event equipment checkout system for reservations; offer tutoring for students that have a need for further support; and assist with equipment demonstrations during class labs.
The TA assists in picking up and returning gear, providing classroom assistance during workshops, scheduling visiting alumni, guests and jurors, and providing peer feedback during project pitches and creative critiques.
Requirements/Qualifications: Student must have taken at least one intermediate or advanced film production class.
Hours: 4 hours per week
Pay Rate: $16 per hour
