STUDENT-Unity Center Media Assistant

The Unity Center is seeking a creative, organized, and reliable Student Media Assistant to help document and promote Unity Center programs and events. This role plays a key part in ensuring students feel seen, valued, and represented through visual storytelling.

• →Attend Unity Center programs and events to capture high-quality photos and videos
• →Create engaging social media content, including reels, short videos, and recap posts
• →Organize and maintain digital media files in a structured and accessible way
• →Collaborate with staff to highlight key moments, stories, and student experiences
• →Support the creation of event recaps and promotional materials
• →Assist in advancing the Unity Center’s mission of fostering belonging and visibility for all students
• →Attend regular staff meetings and contribute ideas for content and storytelling

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Interest or experience in photography, videography, or content creation
• Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, etc.)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for events
• Reliable, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
• Passion for storytelling and supporting diverse student communities

• Experience with editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Lightroom)
• Eye for visual composition and storytelling
• Previous involvement with campus programming or events
