itsme® has fundamentally changed how people lead their digital lives in Belgium, but we are not stopping there! Do you want to be a driving force to help expand on this success story as part of a talented team that is making a positive impact on society? Then keep on reading, you’ll probably like what you’ll see.

We are itsme®, one of Europe’s fastest-growing scale-ups, with 115 team members and growing. Our mission: to provide a state-of-the-art digital identity solution for all people, enabling them to interact securely in the digital space. Now, only nine years after being founded, close to 8 million citizens use the itsme® app to identify themselves and sign documents online. Starting in Belgium, we successfully launched the itsme app in 32 European countries, with the ambition of becoming an internationally leading player.

We are now looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to take ownership of our data and analytics practice. As itsme® scales, the questions we ask of our data are getting bigger: from how millions of citizens interact with our app, to how we steer revenue, finance and operations across multiple markets. You'll be the person who turns that complexity into a coherent, trusted analytics capability that the whole company relies on.

In this role, you'll set the direction for how we model, govern and surface data at itsme® and work as the connective tissue between with our Business Intelligence Analyst, our Data Architect and our Data Analyst. Together, you'll make sure we have the data models and insights to support strategic decisions across the business.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll play a key role in translating data into actionable business insights that drive strategic decisions. That will include the following responsibilities:

  • Data modelling: Design, build and maintain the analytical models that sit between raw data and business reporting. You translate business logic into well-structured, documented and tested datasets that the rest of the company can rely on, from product behaviour to revenue, finance and operational KPIs.

  • Source integration across the business: Connect, transform and reconcile data from a wide variety of sources — behavioural product data in Amplitude, CRM data in Salesforce and HubSpot, financial data in NetSuite, usage data in our back-end, and bring it together into a coherent layer that powers analytics and reporting.

  • Enabling the visualisation layer: Partner closely with our Business Intelligence Analyst to make sure the data behind every dashboard is accurate, performant and easy to work with. You’ll regularly contribute to Power BI development, from defining metrics and shaping semantic models to tuning queries.

  • Scaling our data platform: Work side-by-side with our Data Architect and Infrastructure team to help our data lake grow with the business: new sources, new use cases, more users. You contribute to ingestion patterns, schema design, performance and cost, and you make sure the data products you build on top are reliable, well-documented and trusted.

  • Cross-functional partnership: Work together with sales, marketing, finance, HR and product teams to translate their questions into data models and metrics. You proactively spot opportunities to improve our tooling, definitions and ways of working, and you bring them to life

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • You have 3–5 years of relevant experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer or BI engineer, ideally in a scale-up or fast-moving environment.

  • Strong SQL skills (modelling, performance optimisation, debugging complex queries). Comfortable contributing to a visualisation tool like Power BI.

  • Ability to understand and translate business needs into data-driven solutions. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external vendors.

  • Experience automating workflows, building integrations and extend the platform where SQL alone isn’t enough.

  • Solid understanding in data warehousing and lakehouse concepts (dimensional modelling, ELT patterns, layered architectures) and hands-on experience on a cloud data platform such as Azure (Microsoft Fabric) or AWS.

  • Experience working with behavioural or product analytics data (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap or similar) is a strong plus. You understand the difference between event-level data and aggregated business metrics, and how to model both.

  • You thrive in a dynamic and fast-growing environment, where you go the extra mile to getting things done.

  • You are fluent in English and native Dutch or French.
