SIM Technician - Part Time

• →Support daily operations of clinical simulation lab
• →Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during simulations
• →Assure facility and equipment are organized and prepared for teaching sessions by preassembly of props, moulage, learning materials, and documentation
• →Operate simulation console and software, audio/visual equipment, debriefing equipment, and human patient simulator
• →Assist faculty in monitoring students’ safety
• →Provide theatrical support including moulage and voice over
• →Provide feedback for improving simulation experience
• →Maintain a clean and safe simulation lab to promote an optimal learning environment
• →Conduct routine equipment maintenance
• →Salvage re-usable supplies and repackage
• →Monitor and maintain organization of supply stock
• →Communicate with Simulation Resource Facilitator to promote

• Experience in a clinical healthcare setting, healthcare simulation, or information technology is highly desirable
• Ability to work with various and changing technology
• Self-directed with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Technical skills in operating and troubleshooting complex equipment and software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and students
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

• 5-8 hour shifts during daytime hours
• Weekdays only
• Expectation of 1 day per week when classes are in session
