Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns for individual clients
Interview clients to gather relevant financial and tax information
Identify eligible tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds
Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Jackson Hewitt quality standards
Maintain client confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial data
Communicate tax return results and explain findings clearly to clients
Meet productivity and accuracy goals during peak tax season

Requirements:

Prior tax preparation experience preferred, but training may be available
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn tax software
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends during tax season
High school diploma or equivalent required
PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) or willingness to obtain one
