Plumber Supervisor

The JADA Group of Companies invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Plumber Supervisor. The Plumber Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all plumbing operations on assigned residential and commercial construction projects. This role involves supervising plumbing staff, planning and coordinating installations, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, managing material usage, and ensuring quality and timely delivery of plumbing work across all job sites. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Supervision & Team Leadership Supervise, coordinate, and assign tasks to a team of plumbers. Provide on-site technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Monitor daily attendance, performance, and productivity of plumbing staff. Project Planning & Coordination Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site foremen to plan plumbing installations according to project timelines. Review building plans, specifications, and work schedules to determine material and labour requirements. Schedule and coordinate plumbing installations, repairs, and inspections for residential and commercial buildings. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure all plumbing work is performed according to local building codes and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of workmanship and identify areas for improvement or rework. Ensure use of correct tools, techniques, and materials on each project. Problem Solving & Technical Support Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and assist team members in resolving them. Evaluate and approve changes in installation plans where necessary due to unforeseen site conditions. Ensure corrective actions are taken in response to plumbing deficiencies. Inventory & Reporting Track and manage plumbing tools, equipment, and inventory levels to avoid shortages or waste. Submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager including materials used, time spent, and labour needs. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, inspection records, and compliance checks. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing from a recognized vocational or technical institution. Additional supervisory or construction management training would be an asset. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed plumber with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems. CORE COMPETENCIES: Strong leadership and team management skills. Deep knowledge of plumbing codes, health & safety regulations, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings. Effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving, decision-making and attention to detail skills. Proficient in using digital tools or apps for reporting. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
