Plumber

The JADA Group of Companies invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Plumber. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of construction projects, including residential homes, and commercial projects. This includes interpreting blueprints, selecting the appropriate tools and materials, and ensuring all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Installation & Construction Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and related appliances and fixtures. Layout, assemble, and install piping for residential and commercial systems. Conduct pressure tests to identify leaks and ensure system integrity. Install plumbing systems for kitchens, bathrooms, water heaters, etc. Read and interpret building plans to determine layout of plumbing systems. Maintenance & Repair Diagnose plumbing issues and conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs. Replace worn components including washers, gaskets, safety valves, and regulators. Clear obstructions from sink drains and toilets. Compliance & Safety Ensure work is performed in accordance with local plumbing codes and occupational health and safety regulations. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all site-specific safety protocols. Participate in toolbox talks and site safety meetings. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with electricians, masons, and other construction professionals. Communicate effectively with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Reporting Complete daily job logs and site reports. Report material usage, equipment needs, and progress updates to the supervisor. Notify supervisor of design or structural issues that could affect installation. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing from a recognized vocational or technical institution. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in plumbing within the construction industry. Experience with both residential and commercial installations is required. CORE COMPETENCIES: Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and installation techniques. Ability to interpret technical documents, and schematics. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Manual dexterity and physical stamina. Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
